Judy Lacks

Judy is a classically trained musician who performs regularly at a local Cancer Center to create a healing atmosphere.

“Whether it’s playing piano, placing watercolor paintings around the hospital or visiting patients with her dog for Pet Therapy in The Lacks Cancer Center, Judy Lacks volunteers at Saint Mary’s in many enjoyable ways”

“To me, art and music are intertwined,” a statement that her education endorses. Lacks received a Bachelor’s degree in music at Hope College, and a degree from Kendall College of Art and Design in interior design.

Judy believes music at its roots, is a way for one person to communicate love to another. A beautiful melody from one heart to another will always inspire. She believes that to be human is to have music within oneself, and hopes that by listening, people will be able to come closer to the love that they have to share.

Bringing music back to it’s roots - a means of one person talking to another to share love and compassion - is a part of her life mission.
